Simple summer joys of rooms and porches at the lake
Dappled morning light reflected from the lake now plays on the ceiling of the breakfast porch after a careful reconsideration and renovation of a collection of cobbled improvements to these 1920’s cabins. Also included in the remodeling was the “upstairs” cabin; a catch-all of guest cabin, artist studio, and vintage wooden boat storeroom.
Crawling along the ridge between a pond and the lake, the new plan connects the buildings with a path that overlooks the water and connects to a log gazebo in the orchard. The best of new and historic is carefully blended.
