Next weekend, September 21-22, architecture buffs, empty-nesters, young families and the architecturally curious who may have some challenging issues in their current home, will all be out touring on the sixth annual AIA Minnesota Homes by Architects Tour.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to understand the client, architect, project partner relationships and how those sync up in any design to resolve complex criteria in the most simple and sustainable ways. In Sarah Nettleton Architect’s LEED-certified home on the tour, tour-goers can directly see how daylighting and views are balanced.
They will also learn more about the supporting roles of LEED consulting and energy modeling (Building Knowledge), lighting design (Schuler Shook), landscape installation (Landscape Renovations), contracting (JSJohnson), color consulting (Doran Thayer) and structural engineering (Mattson MacDonald Young). Check out the systems, exterior and interior product detail and design team partners here: HBATour Home #9 Design Team.
With 23 homes on the tour, there’s a lot to squeeze in from 10am-5pm over two days. Purchase your tickets and plan your tour route using the suggested AIA Minnesota Central Tour. See you on the tour!
