AIA Minnesota and MidWest Home announce that Sarah Nettleton is the 2012 recipient of the annual Architect of Distinction Award. “Overall, the jury found her work to be very strong, expressive, and organic. Her projects are a great portfolio of the exploration of sustainability. The Minnesota Valley Home, for example, is a wonderful example of a modern take on a self-sufficient farmhouse.” The jury admired the attention spent on site orientation, natural light, and building form.
